Carl Dennis

This one, on the other hand, strikes me as distinguished prose dressed up as poetry, and despite Parisi's fervid recommendation, doesn't contain enough surprises ... A couple of nice turns here and there -- I'm glad the narrator is thankful he doesn't live in a country his country has chosen to liberate, that's good editorializing -- but *yawn* lots of tired phrases too.
