R.I.P. Reginald Shepherd

I just learned from C. Dale's blog that Reginald Shepherd passed away last night. His commitment to the arts of poetry, criticism, and witnessing in prose was total, absolute ... all one has to do is read the final posts on his blog. His passing leaves me deeply saddened... but also awed. He suffered greatly, particularly over the last year. May he rest in well-deserved peace.
