Looking up Noam Chomsky (a friend informed me there's a lot of him on Youtube) I came across this quote on American religious fanaticism. It's transcribed, I take it, from a talk or interview given around 1990 (when the senior George Bush was in power). His insight is clairvoyant. I hope it doesn't become prophetic. I also like the presentation: Mozart's Requiem, the solemn, ancient columns.
